CHICAGO – JANUARY 6th, 2022 – AIM Consulting, a leading technology consulting firm and an Addison Group company, expanded its consulting solutions with the addition of Jack Walser, Managing Director of AIM’s Chicago location. AIM is rapidly growing its Chicago team and breaking through to new markets.

As AIM’s Central Region Managing Director, Jack Walser strengthens AIM’s presence in the region. Walser has over 25 years of experience leading complex and strategically significant technology initiatives in large organizations, specifically within the healthcare, insurance, and telecommunications verticals.

When asked about his journey with tech, Walser said, “My love affair with technology started early in my career, during my service as a naval officer. In addition to driving the ship, one of my areas of accountability was to coordinate maintenance of all of our electronic and combat systems. That’s a tall order on an aircraft carrier, so I spent a lot of my waking hours learning how our systems ‘talked’ to one another so that we could safely and securely perform any required upgrades. This was during the dot-com boom of the late 90s, so the energy around technology was high. After I was discharged, I found a home in technology consulting and the rest is history.”

“I’m excited to have Jack re-join AIM in the managing director capacity. Jack’s unique background encompassing time in the military, multiple consulting organizations, and recently as Executive Director of the EPMO at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) will provide a strong foundation for building an amazing culture in AIM’s Central Region. His passion for his clients always shows through,” said Kevin Rooney, Senior Vice President of Consulting Services at AIM.

Walser holds certifications in Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and he’s also the author of The Agile Thinker: Better Ways of Living, Working, and Making Sense of Life’s Chaos—a book that brings decades of lessons on the efficiency and productivity learned in the software development field directly to the general public.

On Agile, Walser said, “We [AIM] do a lot of work with organizations that want to transform from a status quo to an agile delivery model. Without question, this is my absolute favorite body of work. We can all benefit from agility in our lives, regardless of what we do or where we sit. The lessons our clients learn from implementing agility should absolutely transfer to our personal lives as well, especially since the lines between our homes and our places of work have blurred, if not disappeared completely.  Agile is for everyone, which is a principle our employees and leaders live daily.”
